You create a twisting, living mass of roots and thorns in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on a point you can see. The area is difficult terrain for all creatures. Each creature that enters the area or starts its turn there must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d8 piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success.

On subsequent turns, you can use your action to move the sphere up to 20 feet in any direction.
