The Mad Dryad
The “weeping” is Nadrelle, a young dryad whose heart-tree was deliberately felled by cultists of Úmbrōs to corrupt the glade and spread their god’s influence into The Wild. Her grief has bound two great bears to her will and turned the forest into a living snare for intruders.
The party may be called upon by local elders or forest wardens to investigate the missing wardens and restore balance. If they can reach Nadrelle’s fractured spirit with compassion, she may be saved. If not, they must be ready for a fight against both her and the forest itself — with cultist traces hinting at a larger, ongoing threat.
