Universal Ritual
Casting Time: 1 hour
Range: 30 feet
Components: V, S, M (a funerary seal shattered at the ritual site)
Duration: Instantaneous
You perform a solemn rite of unmaking, calling upon the sanctity of rest to unravel abominable constructs formed from stolen flesh or bone. Choose one undead creature within range that is composed of multiple corpses or body parts (such as a flesh golem, grave amalgam, ossivar, or similar entity). The target must make a Constitution saving throw. The DC for this save is equal to 10 + your proficiency bonus.
On a failed save, the creature is overwhelmed by the rite’s unraveling force—it collapses into its constituent parts and is destroyed. Only significant necromantic reconstruction (such as a true resurrection of the construct by its creator or a unique dark ritual) can restore it. On a successful save, the creature resists the banishment, though it may still show signs of instability or weakening at the DM’s discretion.
This ritual has no effect on singular-bodied undead (e.g., vampires, wraiths, specters) or on creatures protected by powerful necromantic wards.
