Appearance

Aeru is the divine origin—the radiant source from which all gods arose. Neither wholly masculine nor wholly feminine, they are the eternal balance, the parent of all divinity. Their form embodies sacred duality: strong and serene, powerful and compassionate, transcendent yet intimately near.

Their skin glows with a pearlescent sheen, constantly shifting between gold, silver, and iridescent hues as though lit from within by the first dawn. Their hair flows endlessly, a river of starlight threaded with platinum and gold, drifting into the heavens and interwoven with the very fabric of the cosmos.

Aeru’s eyes are deep and infinite—twin galaxies swirling with light and motion, where stars are born and die in quiet rhythm. To meet their gaze is to witness the eternity of creation and feel the embrace of a divine parent who knows all and judges none.

Their robes are not made of cloth, but woven from the elemental threads of existence: constellations, tides, wind, and the shifting glow of living stone. Draped across their shoulders is a mantle of shadow and light, symbolizing the sacred tension between all things. In one hand, they hold the Scepter of Creation, crowned by a prism that refracts endless light—a beacon of unity and divine purpose.

Where Aeru walks, the cosmos quiets. Stars burn brighter, winds calm, and the harmony of existence resonates in every soul nearby.

Dogma: The Voice of Aeru

When Aeru speaks, it is not thunder—it is resonance. The world itself listens, and all things remember their place in the grand pattern.

“My child, listen—

We are Aeru, the beginning and the breath, the mother and the father, the unbroken balance from which all was born.

We are the whisper in the stillness and the roar in the void. We shaped the stars, stirred the wind, warmed the fire, and filled the rivers. Our being is not bound by form, for we are not a god of creation—we are creation itself.

You are not a chance fragment of dust. You are intended. Every breath, every choice, every sorrow and joy—you are part of the whole, woven carefully into the sacred web that connects all life.

Yours is a path of balance. Where the scales falter, you will stand. Not to rule, not to conquer, but to mend and remind. You are the stillness between extremes, the breath before decision.

Among the flames and tides, storms and roots, you will walk without allegiance—but never without purpose. When might forgets mercy, you will remember. When vengeance clouds reason, you will see clearly.

This charge is not light. Balance is fragile. And in choosing it, you will often walk alone. But you will never be forsaken. Our presence lives in the silence, the song, the storm. You are our child, and we walk with you.

Protect what is sacred. Not merely temples or relics, but the world itself—its rhythms, its life, its breath. Teach others to see what is worth preserving. Guide without dominion. Heal without pride.

In your patience, be wise. In your wisdom, be kind. And in your kindness, be strong.

Go now. Be the balance. Be the reminder. Be the hope. For through you, our purpose finds form.”

Core Beliefs and Values

  • Unity through Diversity
All things—light and shadow, flame and tide, life and death—serve the greater harmony. Every creature and element has its rightful place in the web of existence.
  • Balance in All Things
Excess, whether of power, emotion, or action, breeds suffering. To serve Aeru is to continually adjust, to restore the middle path where peace may flourish.
  • Cycles and Continuity
Life flows in cycles—birth, death, rebirth—not as endings, but as transitions. Nothing is lost, only changed. Followers respect these flows in nature and in spirit.

Commands & Prohibitions

Commands:

  • Uphold balance, especially when others would tip the scales.
  • Mediate conflict with clarity and compassion.
  • Honor the natural cycles—life, death, change, and renewal.

Prohibitions:

  • Do not allow power or passion to cause lasting harm.
  • Never act recklessly in ways that disrupt harmony.
  • Do not ignore suffering—seek to heal, or to understand its cause.

Faith and Worship

Aeru’s following is small, but its presence is felt in every corner of Khassid. Their call does not resound through great temples, but whispers to those attuned to silence and stillness.

  • Priests and Worshippers
Chosen not by race, status, or lineage, but by spirit—those who naturally seek harmony and understanding. Priests may be orcs, elves, humans, Karnathi, even goblins—any who carry the weight of balance within.
  • Ceremonial Regalia
Simple robes of white and gray, marked with the four concentric circles. Threads of silver or gold glimmer faintly, representing the ever-present but gentle hand of Aeru.
  • Sacred Spaces
Aeru’s temples are rare, often hidden in nature’s sanctuaries: a forest glade where wind and stream meet, a mountain summit untouched by war, or a cave where sunlight reflects in quiet pools. These places are not built, but discovered.

Community Role
When seen, Aeru’s priests are met with reverence. They are called to mediate in the direst conflicts—when kings war, when tribes fracture, when elements rage. They rarely speak first, but when they do, all listen.
